| Shantaram Naik,Altinho Gomes, Dr.Ulhas Parab Congratulate Justice Rebello Posted: 26 Jun 2010 08:01 AM PDT Mr. Shantaram Naik M.P. in a statement issued today has congratulated Justice Ferdin Rebello, for his appointment as Chief Justice of Allahabad High Court. Mr. Naik, who hails from Cuncolim Village, as Justice Rebello, has said that Justice Rebello has not only made Goa proud but that he has also brought glory to the entire village of Cuncolim. Mr Naik said that it makes him proud that one village called Cuncolim which has a revolutionary history , has given to the nation and the State one Chief justice, one High Court Judge (Justice Britto), one Lok Sabha M.P. ( Shri Ramakant Angle) and one Rajya Sabha M.P ( Shri Naik himself) Mr. Naik said that as an upright Judge, he has no doubt that Justice Rebello, will fulfill the task before him with dedication for the cause of rendering justice to the common man. Mr.Altinho Gomes , Eminent personality of Cuncolim stated in his press note that People of Cuncolim are proud and extremely happy to hear the news of their great son " justice Ferdino Rebello" It is a very auspicious and memorable day for the people of Cuncolim and a day to sing praises to the Lord. | BSNL Call centre to be re-opened in Goa soon:Shantaram Naik Posted: 26 Jun 2010 02:20 AM PDT Call Centre of the Communication Department functioning in Goa ,which was closed a few years back, is going to be re-started and necessary tender process is on, said Mr Shantaram Naik M.P. while inaugurating 3G Mobile Service at Margao today. Mr Naik said that for effective use of landline or mobile services, call centre manned by local personnel is needed , and therefore, successful bidder has to keep this in mind while making the recruitment, Mr Naik said. Mr Naik said that when 3-G Services were made available to Members of Parliament, he was one of first three to get the service and that in Goa too, when the service started on trial basis on 1st April, 2010, he may be one of the few or perhaps the only one in Goa to use the 3G service. Mr Naik said, one can avail of 11 TV stations on your 3G enabled mobile which includes NDTV, BBC,National Doordarshan, Doordarshan news, Utsav, etc. Mr Naik said that one can download data faster, download movies,music, games etc. Mr Naik said very soon subscribers will be able to see Tirupati Temple religious ceremonies live on your mobile and that the day is not far when we may be able to see ceremonies in Vailankini Church Mr Naik said, in a lighter vein, that a wife can easily ensure the location of her husband by insisting on the husband to show him the place where he claims he is, by moving the his mobile to show her the location. Mr Francisco Sardinha, Lok Sabha M.P. from South Goa said that the BSNL has to pay attention to the disruptions in the signals of their mobile service in some parts of the State. Mr Sardinha said that he and Mr Naik will continue to make Goa as an At the outset Shri Mohanlal General Manager (Mobile ) Pune gave welcome speech. Shri Aloke Kaul, Chief General Manager, Maharashtra Circle explained the basic features of the scheme. Shri G.R.Ravi, General Manager Goa explained about the prospects of 3G Service in Goa. TAC members Dr.Ulhas Parab,Altinho Gomes, Gurudas Natekar, Mrs.Urmila Lotlikar and others were present for the function. Shri Sujit Kumar, Deputy General Manager BSNL, Goa proposed a vote of thanks. |
