They said that they are yet to receive the formal cabinet decision which has reversed its own resolution to shift off shore casino vessels to Aguada bay. The cabinet in February 2009 had decided to shift all seven casino vessels away from Mandovi River after protests from civil groups and opposition party, BJP. The state cabinet, last week, decided to relocate the casinos within the Mandovi river basin deviating from its earlier stand to shift them to Aguada Bay. The division bench comprising Justice D G Karnik and Justice F M Reis told the lawyers that whoever wants to continue with the case can do it. The bench gave time till tomorrow to the casino operators to decide on the petition or else the hearing would continue from Monday. Courtesy: IBN Live |
