| Posted: 03 May 2010 07:19 AM PDT There is no specific terror threat to Goa, but being a touristic state we don’t want to take a chance, said Chief Minister Digambar Kamat while talking to media persons in Panaji on Monday. Goa police on Sunday in the evening suddenly held Nakabandi on all major roads in the state. Reacting on that CM said that, there is no specific threat to Goa. In these days you have heard what is happening in Delhi and other states. We thought that we should not take a chance. Goa police atleast created an atmosphere that police are alert. People face hardships during Nakabandi but there is no alternative for that, CM said. When reporters asked about the growing incidences of desecration of idols and statues, CM said i visited the Guardian Angle church at Curchorem after the incidence of desecration. Police are investigating the case. Let us hope that something will come out. I am not aware whether any Gang is involved in desecrating these statues, CM clarified when reporters asked few pointed questions. |
