| Nagaland police to probe human trafficking case in Goa Posted: 19 Oct 2010 09:49 AM PDT Nagaland Police will arrive here tomorrow for investigation into the human trafficking case that was unearthed after raiding a beauty parlour in Porvorim, near here, police said. A team of senior officers from Nagaland police will take statement of the girls and meet investigating officers during their visit tomorrow, they said. Nagaland State Commission for Women (NGSCW) has already initiated an enquiry into the human trafficking episode and has asked its counterpart here, Goa State Commission for Women, to send a detailed report to it. Six girls from Nagaland and five from Mizoram were rescued during a raid on October 9 on a beauty parlour at Porvorim. Six persons including a lady owner of the parlour were arrested and later released on a bail. Courtesy:IBN |
